Some people are just sad.

The more I encounter people in all manner of dealings continues to prove that some people are just plain sad, boring, tiresome people.

A quote I once read (I think Facebook) said "Home is where you go when you are tired of being polite to people". I always loved this one because most days are filled with dealings with idiots who have no common sense or I swear wake up thinking of ways to ruin my day.

Is society getting dumber?

I think so, or perhaps these idiots are just more public now, given access to Twitter and FaceBook. Or worse, is it my patience that is wearing thin and I've become less tolerant?

Then there's the whole bad manners generation and I'm not necessarily talking about the youths, I mean people my age. When did we give up on manners? It's a sad indictment when someone comments on how polite you are when saying a simple please and thank you. Shouldn't the people who don't use common courtesy stand out?

Am I turning in to an old person? Next I'll be writing to the ABC and having dinner at 5pm.

On another note, all the stress from last week has resulted in a few more grey hairs, literally! The only thing to get me through is the knowledge of two weeks off in 11 sleeps.

We are all in our own bubbles, we all have different priorities and value different things. I'm regularly reminded of #firstworldproblems and at the time they are a problem and sometimes significant but in the grand scheme of things are nothing compared to what others are experiencing. That being said I shouldn't be made to feel bad. I'm starting to get charity fatigue from 'do gooders' who expect a hand out left right and centre. I give time and money to causes I feel are important to me, I don't do this in a public outspoken way, so some people need to understand that charity comes in many forms.

Anyway I'm on my second glass of wine now, the cool change has come and its somewhat more peaceful.

Think an early night (before midnight is early!) with a book is in order.
